About the Blogger

Chad is a cradle Roman Catholic from southern Louisiana. He finds his roots in the small fishing community of Chauvin, Louisiana where Cajun and Catholic are almost one in the same. He experienced an awakening of his faith at a youth group retreat while in the eigth grade. He became fascinated with the Catholic faith he was growing into, particularly the dynamics of the Celebration of the Eucharist, the Mass. He worked for the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux in the Office of Youth Ministry and assisted in the first Steubenville on the Bayou Conference. Chad then took his faith with him to New Orleans, LA and worked as a Director of Youth Ministry for Visitation of Our Lady Church. Once his ministry came to and end there, he moved to Baton Rouge, LA where he ministered to the sick bringing the Holy Eucharist to Catholics in the hospital. He and his wife currently life in Houma, LA and are parishoners of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Chad works as a sales representative and technology specialist at a local Honda dealership. He holds a certification in basic Catechism. He and his wife are expecting their first child, Adeline Marie on October 20th, 2012.

  1. Hello Chad,

This past fall we attended the Catholic Marketing Network trade show and met a number of bloggers that were in attendance. One question that we were asked is if we send out review copies to bloggers and YES we do. I am contacting you to see if you would like to be put on our email list to receive information about our new titles and products. This isn’t a spam list but a list to send you out information and if you see a product that you would like to review we would send it out depending on quantity and demand. In order to do this we would need for you to just let us know by responding to this email and let us know what email address you would like for us to use.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    God Bless,

  2. My husband and I live in Houma, LA also! Hope you and your family can attend the Latin Mass and St. Joseph's Altar this March 17, the Sunday before St. Joseph's day (which also happens to be St. Patrick's Day this year) We are a family oriented community, deeply devoted to living our Catholic faith. The 10:00am Latin Mass will be held in Gibson, LA at the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament. Please stop by my blog, Catholic Homeschooling Joy for pictures from last year's Altar. http://homemaker7.wordpress.com/

  3. Thanks for the invitation, I've done the St. Joseph's alter tours through Houma and Thibodaux a number of times in the past, and we usually ended the tour with a celebration of Mass with the Bishop presiding at his residence. If you ever have the chance to visit the alter at his house, it is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunatly though, this year my wife and I will be out of town, so we'll only get to a St. Joseph's alter if the parish we attend while away has one.
